CUSTOMISED MULTI-DAY PACKAGE TRIPS

Whether you prefer self-drive, private guided, or something different like trekking or a winter visit - we are the most experienced travel planners in the Westfjords (since 2012). We take great pride in providing a friendly, flexible & professional service.

Our self-drive and private guided packages include accommodation, transport and activities - in addition to a detailed customised itinerary prepared especially for your trip. It's possible to book only the Westfjords section with us, but usually we plan the whole Iceland trip for our customers - including the Ring Road and other regions.

SHORE EXCURSIONS

Isafjordur is one of the main cruise ship ports in Iceland and we have extensive experience servicing cruise travellers.
We offer an excellent selection of shore excursions in all the main ports of Iceland, with handpicked tours from our local partners.

DAY TOURS

Many travellers reach the Westfjords by car or flight and do local day tours to get the most out of their visit.
We offer an excellent selection of day tours in the Westfjords, along the Westfjords Way, and on the Snaefellsnes peninsula, with handpicked tours from our local partners.

Borea Adventures-Iceland

Borea Adventures, based in Ísafjörður, is a fully licensed adventure and wildlife guiding company, specializing in a range of outdoor experiences.

The company offers guided multi-day tours in the Nature Reserve, allowing guests to experience unique overnight stays in tents, our private base camp in Hornvík bay, or the historic farmhouse in Kvíar.

Additionally, Borea Adventures provides a range of day tours from Ísafjörður, including 2-6 hour kayak excursions in serene fjords and hiking trips suitable for various skill levels. Borea is also capable of tailoring tours to meet the specific needs of private groups, regardless of their size.

In the winter season, Borea Adventures offers ski tours , as well as arctic fox photography excursions, in the Hornstrandir Nature Reserve.

Borea Adventures operates a daily boat service to Hornstrandir Nature Reserve during the summer months. Utilizing seaworthy boats designed for a safe and enjoyable journey, the company ensures reliable transportation to this stunning destination.

Borea Adventures tours are guided by experienced local guides that ensure that everyone leaves with smiles on their faces and stories to tell.

Litabyli Adventures

Litlabyli Adventures is a tour operator in Flateyri, run along with its sister Litlabyli Guesthouse, in an old beautiful house in Flateyri.

We have space for up to 10 guests in a comfortable home with beautiful views of the mountains and fjord. Each room has accommodation for 2 people, in double or twin beds.

This summer, 2020, the house will be rented out as one unit.

Amenities include free wifi throughout the house and free parking. Four rooms are with shared bathroom and shower facilities and one double with privet facilities; fully equipped kitchen. Breakfast is available on request.

The house is a short walk from the convenience store, swimming pool, restaurant, and local hiking routes.

Something special - Nature and Cultural Walks with a view of Ísafjörður

Ísafjörður Walk - An Interesting Journey Through Time (2 hours)

Our guide, dressed as a woman from the 19th century, and takes you on a walk from our meeting point or from the port through the city and up to the slopes above Ísafjörður. On the way you will visit interesting places, such as historical houses and trade centres from the prime time of Ísafjörður. You will get information on history and learn about the people and their living conditions, their beliefs and their culture, which is reflected in the legends. You will also visit the places the stories are told about. On the way she shares her lunch box with you.

If you like to get an insight into the history of Ísafjörður and hear more tales and stories about the people, ghosts, elves, trolls and other mystical creatures of ancient and modern times Elves, Trolls and Stories (2 hours), would be the right walk for you. Also, the walk goes all time on plane level.

Our Arctic Fox photo
tour takes you to the heart of the territories of this small canid, emblematic
of Hornstrandir nature reserve. You'll learn about the life of animals in the
Icelandic tundra and about photography techniques.

Our photo workshops
are open to all levels. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or experienced
photographer, we tailor our photo tours to suit all participants.
